Danny Woodhead has been a major contributor in the San Diego Chargers’ passing offense this season, and Sunday was no exception. Woodhead caught seven passes for 42 yards in a win over the Kansas City Chiefs that sent the Chargers to the playoffs. One of his most important catches of the game came on 3rd-and-6 in overtime.
Woodhead secured a pass for a first down that led to the eventual game-winning field goal. The former undrafted free agent out of Chadron State rarely celebrates when making a play, but even he couldn’t resist. We’re glad he didn’t, because Woodhead treated us to an outstanding first-down shimmy.
Hopefully we see some more of that in the playoff next weekend.
