Demaryius Thomas has fallen short in his efforts to make the New England Patriots.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Patriots have cut Thomas, who is still working his way back from the torn Achilles he suffered in Week 16 of the 2018 season.

Thomas would have had the opportunity to make up to $6 million with New England, but that won’t happen now.
Thomas has a very accomplished resume. The 31-year-old had a very successful run with the Denver Broncos, posting six consecutive 1,000-yard seasons from 2012 through 2016. His numbers have diminished in recent years, but his resume should ensure that he’s picked up by another team and given the chance to get healthy.
