Derek Carr went down in pain and left the Oakland Raiders’ game in Denver after getting hurt in the third quarter.
Carr was sacked on a first down play and went down to the ground. He immediately grabbed his lower back. Replays showed he took a knee to the lower back.
Carr was able to walk off the field, but E.J. Manuel still entered the game for him after that. The Raiders starter entered a medical tent for examination and later was seen walking into the locker room.
Carr was 10 of 18 for 143 yards and a touchdown before leaving the game. His Raiders were trailing Denver 16-7 at the time he left the game. Manuel completed his first two passes after replacing Carr.
