DeShone Kizer waived by Raiders
DeShone Kizer will be looking for a new team yet again.
Kizer was waived by the Las Vegas Raiders on Tuesday. His stay with the team was not very long as they claimed him off waivers from the Packers in September.
The 24-year-old quarterback was drafted No. 52 overall by the Cleveland Browns in 2017 and started 15 games for them that season. He passed for 2,894 yards, 11 touchdowns and 22 interceptions that year.
Kizer saw action in three games for Green Bay in 2018 and threw two interceptions.
Kizer was part of a crowded quarterback room on the Raiders. In addition to starter Derek Carr, the Raiders signed Marcus Mariota in free agency and also have Nathan Peterman. There just wasn’t room for Kizer as a fourth player.
