Report: Dolphins visiting with Chris Johnson after losing out on C.J. Anderson

The Miami Dolphins are reportedly bringing Chris Johnson in for a visit after their pursuit of C.J. Anderson fell through.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday that Johnson is in Miami visiting with the Dolphins.

Johnson experienced something of a career renaissance in Arizona in 2015. Though a fractured tibia ended his season prematurely after week twelve, Johnson was the fourth leading rusher in the NFL at the time of his injury with 814 yards.

Miami is trying to replace Lamar Miller, who signed with Houston as a free agent. They had an offer sheet with Anderson, but the Broncos matched it, leaving Miami looking for alternative options. If they do end up with Johnson, they’ll be adding a guy who is, at the very least, mighty tough.
