Drew Lock shares how much he loved Broncos’ draft picks
The Denver Broncos dedicated most of their early draft picks to surrounding young quarterback Drew Lock with weapons, and he was certainly appreciative.
Lock shared his reaction to Denver’s draft with NFL Network’s James Palmer on Wednesday. He was very excited when the Broncos used their first pick on wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, but the second round selection of wide receiver K.J. Hamler had Lock “jumping up and down.”
“I was ecstatic, we were both just screaming “no way”, clapping, jumping up and down.”

The Broncos are doing everything they can to give Lock tools to succeed. The two wide receivers will join Cortland Sutton in the Denver offense, and they’ve added Melvin Gordon to the backfield to go with Phillip Lindsay.
Lock went from not ready in the eyes of the team to the franchise quarterback very quickly. It’s clear that the Broncos are pinning their hopes on him.
