The Philadelphia Eagles’ high price tag on Nick Foles is down to more than simply maximizing the value of a hot property.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Eagles are not motivated to trade Foles, owing to the uncertainty regarding quarterback Carson Wentz’s recovery from his torn ACL.
My sense on the #Eagles and QB Nick Foles: They do not want to trade him. For a 1st rounder, maybe. But with the uncertainty around Carson Wentz for the 2018 opener… they don’t want to trade Foles. Or, basically, what GM Howie Roseman has said publicly.

Wentz’s return next season is treated as conclusive when knee injuries are no sure thing. That would explain the high asking price they’ve put on him — they need to be blown away.
