The Philadelphia Eagles appear to have their next defensive coordinator.

It looks like they have the defensive side of the ball settled.

The Miami Dolphins and Vic Fangio are mutually parting ways, we learned on Wednesday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter also says that the Eagles are expected to reach a deal with Fangio.

Fangio, 65, is from Dunmore, Pa. He served as a consultant for the Eagles in 2022 after being fired by the Denver Broncos following a 3-year stint as their head coach. Fangio was the Dolphins’ defensive coordinator this year. The Dolphins finished 22nd in points allowed and 10th in yards allowed.
Over his lengthy coaching career, Fangio has served as a defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears and the Dolphins.
Philly’s defense ranked 30th in the league in points allowed this season and 26th in yards allowed.
