Eagles acquire All-Pro player in trade with Titans
The Philadelphia Eagles have made a major addition to their defense.
The Eagles on Monday acquired veteran safety Kevin Byard in a trade with the Tennessee Titans. Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports that the Titans will get two late draft picks and safety Terrell Edmunds in the deal.
The Tennessee Titans are trading All-Pro defensive back Kevin Byard to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles will be sending the Titans a 2024 5th and 6th rounder and safety Terrell Edmunds, per multiple league sources.

Byard has been one of the best defensive backs in the NFL since the Titans drafted him in the third round back in 2016. The 30-year-old has made the Pro Bowl twice, most recently in 2021. He was also named a First-team All-Pro in 2017 and 2021.
Byard has 47 total tackles and a fumble recovery on the season. The Eagles are already arguably the best team in the NFL, and the trade should make them even better.
