The Packers were in Philadelphia for “Monday Night Football” and the Eagles took the opportunity to remind Green Bay of a not-so-pleasant moment in the team’s history.
Prior to the teams taking the field, the scoreboard at Lincoln Financial Field showed the down and distance as 4th and 26.

Back in 2004, the Eagles and Packers met in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. With 1:12 left in regulation and the Eagles down by three points, Philadelphia was facing a 4th and 26 on their own 26-yard line to keep their chances alive. Donovan McNabb completed a 28-yard pass to Freddie Mitchell to extend the drive. David Akers would later hit field goal to send the game to overtime and convert another in overtime to give the Eagles the victory, sending them to the NFC Championship Game.
The man who caught the pass from McNabb was in the house on Monday, celebrating his birthday.

Not only was it a special night for Mitchell. As he referenced, Jeremiah Trotter and Merrill Reese were inducted into the Eagles’ Hall of Fame.
