Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy will not play against the Chicago Bears on Thursday night, and it remains possible that we will not see him again this season.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Lacy is scheduled to undergo foot surgery and will be placed on injured reserve.

Lacy has not yet been ruled out for the rest of the season, as the NFL’s new IR rules allow teams to designate one player who can return later in the year.
The injury couldn’t come at a worse time for the Packers, as Lacy was averaging 5.1 yards per carry this year and appeared to be getting some of his old explosiveness back — despite more reports about him eating too many cheeseburgers. Knile Davis, whom the Packers acquired in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday, has a chance to become the team’s starting running back going forward with James Starks recovering from knee surgery.
