Eddy Pineiro field goal, garbage Bradley Chubb penalty help Bears win
The Chicago Bears came back to beat the Denver Broncos 16-14 on Sunday thanks to a 53-yard field goal by Eddy Pineiro as time expired. They were also aided by a garbage roughing the passer penalty called on Bradley Chubb in the final 30 seconds.
Denver scored with 31 seconds left and then make a 2-point conversion to take a 14-13 lead. Just when you thought they had the game, the Bears got the ball back and drove for a field goal. They caught a nice break on their first play of the possession when Chubb was called for roughing the passer, tacking 15 yards onto a five-yard pass play.
Good Lord there's been some HORRIBLE calls in this Broncos-Bears game… Chubb was flagged for "roughing the passer" on this play…. pic.twitter.com/WiRb9XD3K8

The call moved Chicago from their 25 to the 45. They were then facing a 4th-and-15 with under 10 seconds to go but finally converted on a pass from Mitchell Trubisky to Allen Robinson that took them to the Denver 35. The problem is time appeared to run out, though the refs gave Trubisky a timeout call with one second left.
That set things up for Pineiro, who made his biggest field goal as a member of the Bears.

Two lead changes in the final 31 seconds of a game that barely had any scoring. Who saw that coming?
