Eric Decker’s Girlfriend Jessie James Singing at Halftime of Jets-Broncos Game
Is this all part of a new marketing plan for the NFL? After two straight weeks with love stories lingering on the side while there are football games to be played, I’m starting to wonder. Last weekend we had David Nelson and his Cowboys cheerleader girlfriend united on the sidelines in Dallas when Nelson gave her his touchdown ball. Maybe the fact that even Jerry Jones thought it was romantic inspired the Broncos to invite Eric Decker’s girlfriend, country singer Jessie James, to perform during halftime of Thursday night’s Jets-Broncos game.
As CBSSports.com shared with us, Decker seems straight up giddy that his lady friend will be out on the field singing while he is in the locker room with his teammates breaking down the 64 run plays Denver ran in the first half.
“Who’s the halftime entertainer? Some lady, a beautiful girl?” he asked according to an AP news story. “I’m excited. I wish I could sneak out, but don’t tell Coach Fox. I’ve got somebody recording it for me.”
Decker assured everyone, however, that he will not be giving her the ball if he catches a touchdown pass since she’ll be up in a luxury box watching the game. In all seriousness, I would probably be excited if my girlfriend looked like this, too. Way to go, Eric.
