Eric Kendricks fulfills mother’s request by getting pick-six
Eric Kendricks made the play of the game for the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday when he intercepted a Marcus Mariota pass and returned it 77 yards to give the Vikings their first lead of the game — one they did not relinquish.
It turns out that the linebacker’s first career touchdown also fulfilled his mother’s playful request.
Kendricks shared a screenshot of a text message conversation he had with his mother via his Instagram page on Sunday. The text exchange shows Kendricks’ mom asking for a sack before the game, Kendricks saying he wanted an interception, and her saying why not make it a pick-six?
Sure enough, Kendricks came through with the interception returned for a touchdown in the third quarter to give Minnesota the lead.
Next up Kendricks’ mom should ask her son for the winning lottery combination.
