Eric Reid feels targeted by NFL’s random drug testing
Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid thinks something funny is going on with the NFL’s random drug testing.
After Carolina’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, Reid said he underwent his fifth random drug test of the season, having only signed with Carolina on Sep. 27. The implication was not at all subtle, and Reid clearly feels he’s being targeted by the league.
Eric Reid was randomly selected by the NFL to take a drug test today. He told me it's his 6th drug test since signing w/ Panthers on Sept. 27, 5th random (1st test was part of his physical).
"This is supposed to be a random system. It doesn't feel very random."

Why would the NFL zero in on Reid? The obvious conclusion is it’s some sort of response to his kneeling during the national anthem and open support of Colin Kaepernick, who is currently in legal proceedings with the NFL. With that many drug tests, there’s probably nothing that will convince Reid that this isn’t some sort of conspiracy.
