Eric Weddle badly bloodied after taking knee to head
Los Angeles Rams safety Eric Weddle suffered a gruesome-looking head injury after taking the full brunt of Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey’s knee.
The veteran safety was going for a tackle when McCaffrey inadvertently kneed him in the head. Weddle had to be carted off, bleeding profusely as doctors tried to slow the flow of blood.

It was unclear where the cut was actually coming from, but it appeared that the impact from McCaffrey’s knee to Weddle’s helmet gashed the skin on the safety’s head.
The 35-year-old was playing his first game as a member of the Rams after signing as a free agent during the offseason.
