Aaron Rodgers skipped mandatory minicamp practice with the New York Jets on Tuesday despite not having permission from the team, and many fans think they have an idea of where the quarterback was.
Jets head coach Robert Saleh told reporters that Rodgers had an unexcused absence from Tuesday’s practice and that the quarterback instead chose to “attend an event that was very important to him.”
Immediately after Saleh shared the news, fans began speculating about the event that Rodgers attended. The most popular guess was that Rodgers was on some sort of spiritual retreat.

Rodgers famously spent several days in a dark, isolated room while he was contemplating retirement prior to the 2023 season. He has also been open about his experiences with ayahuasca, which is a hallucinogenic plant.
Whatever the event was that Rodgers attended, the Jets did not feel the 40-year-old had a good enough reason to miss practice.
