Ex-Dolphins OL coach Chris Foerster reportedly checks into rehab

Former Miami Dolphins offensive line coach Chris Foerster has checked into a rehabilitation facility in Miami, according to a report.

Sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Foerster is seeking professional help after video footage showed him snorting a white powder — presumably cocaine — off of a table and bragging about how he was about to go to a team meeting. The 56-year-old resigned from the Dolphins after the video went viral and apologized for his actions.

As Schefter notes, Foerster would be subject to NFL discipline if he was allowed to return to the Dolphins or ends up being hired by another team. Foerster has coached in the NFL for 25 years and was reportedly one of the highest-paid assistants in the league, earning somewhere between $2.5 million and $3 million per season.

Foerster allegedly sent the infamous video to a stripper, and the woman says she chose to leak the footage for political reasons.
