Falcons’ Devonta Freeman finishes game with knee injury

The status of Devonta Freeman will be something to watch in the ensuing week.
Freeman seemed to suffer a knee injury late in the Atlanta Falcons’ 18-12 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night. He was seen on the Falcons’ sideline trying to get treatment and walking with a limp. He was also termed questionable to return to the game.
Freeman only had six carries for 36 yards and three catches for 14 yards in the opener. Tevin Coleman had nine carries for only 19 yards. The Falcons had trouble moving the ball against the Eagles and were especially bad in the red zone, where they turned the ball over on downs twice.
After the game, Freeman said he was fine.
Just talked to him. He said he’s OK. https://t.co/fPR62Pjnr0
