Kansas City Chiefs fans received great news when superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes was cleared for training camp, as the team prepares for the upcoming 2026 NFL season. But some fans raised concerns after noticing his leg in a video the Chiefs shared on social media Friday.
Mahomes went under the knife in December after suffering a torn ACL injury in his left knee during the Chiefs’ late-season loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2025 campaign.
Several months later, the two-time NFL Most Valuable Player is set to participate in Kansas City’s training camp, with Kansas City sharing a post showing Mahomes making his way into the team’s training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Mo.

After watching the 14-second clip, some fans felt there was still something wrong with Mahomes’ left leg.

Bills fan here, glad he is healthy. Hope they don’t rush him back though. Leg is looking like it has major atrophy.

The Chiefs, however, are going to listen to doctors and medical professionals a thousand times over random fans on the internet when it comes to a player’s health.
For now, Mahomes’ focus is on getting back to his top form and shedding all the rust after a long journey recovering from his injury.
He and the Chiefs are on a mission to sit back on the throne after last winning the Super Bowl in 2024.
Last season, the three-time Super Bowl MVP Mahomes passed for 3,587 yards and 22 touchdowns against 11 interceptions through 14 games.
