Geno Smith reportedly agrees to deal with Seahawks
Geno Smith has never lived up to the expectations that surrounded him when the New York Jets drafted him in the second round back in 2013, but the former West Virginia star continues to find work in the NFL.
ESPN’s Jordan Raanan reported on Monday that Smith is expected to sign with the Seattle Seahawks.
Quarterback Geno Smith is expected to sign with the Seattle Seahawks, per source. It will be his fourth team in four seasons. Smith spent last season with the Los Angeles Chargers and threw just four passes.

As Raanan noted, the Seahawks will be Smith’s fourth team in the past four seasons. He spent 2018 with the Los Angeles Charges and appeared in five games, attempting four passes and completing one of them.
Smith, 28, had a chance to start with the New York Giants two years ago when they appeared to be moving on from Eli Manning, and he defended former Giants coach Ben McAdoo over that move when Manning was struggling last season. He won’t be a lock to make Seattle’s final roster.
