Odell Beckham Jr. may be back in the lineup for the New York Giants in Week 2.
Beckham was held out of the team’s opener against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night with a sprained ankle sustained in the preseason. He was listed as questionable and then termed a game-time decision against Dallas. The wide receiver was seen doing some drills before the game, though he was ultimately ruled out.
The Giants have an extra day before hosting the Detroit Lions on Monday night in Week 2, and NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport says the team is optimistic about getting its top playmaker back.

The Giants sure could use him. They were held to three points by the Cowboys and the offense looked pathetic. They could use their best playmaker back.
