Report: Greg Olsen definitely playing for Panthers in 2019
Despite rumors of a broadcasting career and repeated foot injuries, Greg Olsen intends to play football in 2019.
According to Jourdan Rodrigue of the Charlotte Observer, sources close to the Carolina Panthers tight end are adamant that he will be playing for the team in 2019 and has no plans to quit or go into broadcasting.
Gifs aside, spoke with two sources in direct contact with Greg Olsen. They were blunt: He’s playing for the Panthers in 2019. That mindset hasn’t changed over the last several weeks – months even, since he told reporters he has a lot of ball left in him at the end of last season.

Olsen was listed as one of the betting favorites for the vacant Monday Night Football color job, but there is no indication that’s grounded in reality.
Recurring foot injuries have limited Olsen to just 16 games over the past two seasons, and he will always be at risk of re-injury. That said, he’s still one of Cam Newton’s most reliable targets when he’s on the field. Carolina’s offense is much better with a healthy Olsen.
