Jon Gruden does not seem to be too concerned with Marshawn Lynch’s workload.
Lynch missed practice this week and appeared on the injury report due to an abdomen injury, though he was removed from the injury report on Friday. The Oakland Raiders head coach was asked whether they would limit Lynch’s workload and seemed to dismiss the notion.
Jon Gruden on possibility of limiting RB Marshawn Lynch’s workload, given the physical manner at which he runs: “He’s been durable his career. We’ll just keep feeding him Skittles and keep sending him out there as long as he can.” Lynch (abdomen) removed from injury report today.

Marshawn is fifth in the league with 68 carries and fourth with 300 rushing yards. Even at 32 he runs as hard as ever and is incredibly difficult to bring down. But considering that Lynch is on his way to his most carries since 2014, Gruden might want to take things easy a bit so Lynch doesn’t wear down late. There’s only so much healing Skittles can do.
