Report: Hope Solo ‘acting belligerent’ during Jerramy Stevens DUI arrest
Former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens, who is married to US women’s soccer star Hope Solo, was reportedly arrested in Los Angeles this week for driving while under the influence. Solo was with him at the time, and she was apparently not all that cooperative with police.
According to TMZ, Stevens was pulled over just before 2:00 a.m. Monday morning when officers noticed him swerving on the road. Solo was reportedly “acting belligerent” during the stop and even pulled out her cell phone at one point to record the officers.
A law enforcement official told TMZ that both Stevens and Solo “were a major pain” and that Hope came very close to being arrested for disorderly conduct. Both Stevens and Solo allegedly pulled the “don’t you know who we are?” card with police. Stevens refused to submit to a breathalyzer, so officers obtained a warrant to have his blood tested and he was eventually booked for DUI.
A judge recently dismissed charges against Solo that stemmed from an alleged domestic violence incident with her nephew and sister. The 33-year-old goalie was accused of “going psychotic” and beating people up.
In 2012, Stevens was arrested for allegedly assaulting Solo during a domestic dispute. The case was later dropped due to a lack of evidence. You can hear the 911 tapes from the night of that incident here.
