Hue Jackson hints DeShone Kizer may return to starting lineup for Week 7
Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson implied Monday that quarterback DeShone Kizer’s benching could be a short one.
Jackson said that Kizer had learned “a lot” by backing up against the Houston Texans on Sunday, and that his status as the future of the franchise would be a part of Jackson’s consideration in naming a Week 7 starter.

Those quotes would seem to imply that Kizer will be getting his job back. The fact that Kevin Hogan threw for only 140 yards and threw three picks would also work in his favor. Kizer, as Jackson has repeatedly noted, is viewed as the future of the franchise. The Browns have nothing to gain by continuing to start Hogan over him.
