Hue Jackson dreams of pairing Bradley Chubb with Myles Garrett
The Cleveland Browns are going to pick a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, but that will leave them with an array of options when they pick fourth.
Coach Hue Jackson seems to have one candidate in mind — defensive lineman Bradley Chubb, who he admitted he has dreamt about drafting and pairing with Myles Garrett.
“I do at nighttime when I’m by myself,” Jackson said Tuesday, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “You kind of play that scenario game with all these different guys. I wish I could have them all. There will be good scenarios as we come down to the end here.
“Obviously, as you guys have already pegged it, we’re taking a quarterback, and then here comes the No. 4 pick. We need impact football players, period, and that’s part of where we are. So here’s another opportunity to put some impact players on our team that can help us get to winning as fast as we can.”
There will be other options — one top running back is certainly a possibility — but the Browns would probably love it if Chubb was on the board, which he may well be at No. 4.
