J.J. Watt responds to critic on Twitter who calls him a ‘try hard’
Despite being perhaps the best defensive player in the NFL, J.J. Watt still receives his share of criticism for various reasons. Among them is that he appears to try to hard to be the likable and popular guy.
On Sunday, Watt took to his Twitter account to talk about the Texans’ 34-6 victory over the Titans, calling it a great team win.
Hasn't always been pretty and there's definitely been some adversity, but we've always done it together. Another great TEAM win today.

The tweet, which seems innocent enough, drew a response from someone who called Watt a “try hard.” Watt, then issued a response of his own, putting in perspective where he is in comparison to his detractor.
Well, it got me to the league, got me ? and got my family taken care of. But you do you with your non-tryin self. https://t.co/cx0XOVZadQ

To say Watt is doing pretty well for himself would be a bit of an understatement. Like it or not, he’s not going to change. And, there’s absolutely no reason for him to do so.
