J.J. Watt takes shot at Zach Mettenberger, says ‘Welcome to the show’
The Houston Texans handed the Tennessee Titans their sixth loss of the season and the first for quarterback Zach Mettenberger, who made his first NFL start.
Mettenberger gained popularity last week by posting selfies to his Instagram and Twitter accounts, and even posted one prior to Sunday’s game. Unfortunately, the fun came to an end later in the day when he got under center and saw J.J. Watt on the other side of the line of scrimmage.
Watt was his usual disruptive self in the Texans’ 30-16 victory, registering two sacks and forcing Mettenberger to fumble once. After one take down of Mettenberger, Watt pretended to take a selfie.
After the game, the league’s best defensive player took the opportunity to let the rookie know he’s in the NFL now.
Watt on sack and fake selfie "Kind of a reminder this is NFL, not high school. Welcome to the show."

Watt (con't) "I take this game seriously. If I were rookie named starter for first time I'd b a little more focused."

Point taken.
Making your first start at quarterback in the NFL is tough enough without having to deal with an all-world pass rusher who is trying to prove a point. And Watt certainly did that.
We can probably chalk this one up to a rookie learning a lesson the hard way, much like Sammy Watkins did on Sunday.
