Jadeveon Clowney recognizes Cowboys as America’s Team
Jadeveon Clowney may play for a rival team in the state of Texas, but that won’t prevent him from recognizing America’s Team.
Clowney’s 1-3 Houston Texans will be at home against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. According to the Dallas Morning News’ Jon Machota, Clowney says he hears a lot from Cowboys fans despite being in Houston, leading him to recognize them as America’s No. 1 team.
Texans DE Jadeveon Clowney asked if he sees a lot of Cowboys fans around Houston: "Yeah, I do. I hear a lot of them, too. I mean, America’s No. 1 team, so like I said, it’s going to be a good matchup for us this week. Just got to go out here and get ready for a 4-quarter battle."

The Cowboys have long had a reputation for being “America’s Team,” and it’s well-earned. They are popular and have fans all over, even in Houston.
Clowney is the reigning AFC Defensive Player of the Week. He had two sacks in a win over the Colts and recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. He’s looking to keep that going against the Cowboys.
