Jags owner had ‘heart-to-heart’ with Jalen Ramsey, expects him to play
Jalen Ramsey returned to practice in a limited capacity on Wednesday after he missed the previous two weeks with a back injury, and it sounds like he is planning to play in Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.
Jaguars owner Shad Khan was asked about the Ramsey trade rumors in an interview with Katherine Ross of The Street on Thursday, and he said expects the All-Pro Cornerback to be “fine this week.” He also said he had a “heart-to-heart” with Ramsey and that the two sides will come up with a solution that works for everyone.

Khan is a big fan of Ramsey and could be the main reason the team has not fulfilled the two-time Pro Bowler’s trade request. There have been questions about how legitimate Ramsey’s back injury actually is, and head coach Doug Marrone didn’t exactly do Ramsey any favors in answering those questions.
All indications have been that Ramsey still wants to be traded, but perhaps his conversation with Khan helped ease some tensions. The Jaguars are 2-3 and still very much alive in the AFC South with the way rookie Gardner Minshew has played, so you can understand why they would prefer to keep Ramsey.
