Jaguars WR Allen Robinson has torn ACL

The Jacksonville Jaguars confirmed their worst fears: Allen Robinson has a torn ACL.

The team announced the news on Twitter Sunday evening, which comes after a few hours of speculation that the receiver’s knee injury was severe.

This is a horrible break for Robinson, who was a second-round pick in 2014 and set to become a free agent after the year. He had a breakout 2015 with 1,400 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. He was looking to bounceback this year from his 883-yard, six touchdown performance from a season ago.

Marqise Lee and Allen Hurns will likely see more targets in Robinson’s absence.
