Jalen Ramsey would message opponents’ girlfriends before big games

Jalen Ramsey loves talking trash and getting under his opponents’ skin and will even go to extreme lengths to execute that plan.

Ramsey joined the “Bussin’ with the Boys” podcast for an interview that was published on Monday. He was asked by the hosts how his crap-talking has changed since he joined the NFL.

“The only thing that really changed was in college, like when I was at Florida State, I was grimy. I didn’t care. Like I would talk about your girlfriend. … say I was playing a big receiver at whatever school, I would look up his Instagram and see his girlfriend. I’d probably go slide in her DMs before the game,” Ramsey said of his practice of privately messaging the women.

Ramsey said he would then tell the player during the game that he had messaged their girlfriend.

“I’m bringing it up (to the player) in the game. People get hot about that. But when I got to the [NFL] I stopped that because people have wives. Somebody could get shot talking about somebody’s wife. That’s where I grew; I ain’t as grimy.”

That is some commendable personal growth by Ramsey.

We love Ramsey’s trash-talking ways. Last year he ripped on several NFL quarterbacks before the season. But after his Jaguars stumbled to a 5-11 season, Ramsey decided to tone it down for 2019. We need the Jags to start winning again so Ramsey can tone it back up. A trash-talking Jalen Ramsey is a fun Jalen Ramsey.
