Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison is one of four NFL players that the league is looking to interview after they were named in an Al Jazeera report about performance-enhancing drug use. Harrison received a letter from the NFL over the weekend, but he has some demands he wants met before he sits down with investigators.
In a statement he posted on Instagram, Harrison said he is willing to cooperate but is not going to give in to a “bully.” He wants the interview conducted at his house and for NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to be present.
Harrison also shared a photo of the actual letter he got from the league, as well as a couple of other posts about the NFL Players Association requesting evidence supporting the investigation and not receiving it from the league.
As we learned with a recent drug test he made a huge deal out of, Harrison has no patience for the inner workings of the NFL. It’s no surprise he is irritated with the Al Jazeera investigation.
