Jason Peters suffers back injury, carted off
All-Pro Eagles lineman Jason Peters was carted off during Sunday night’s game against Carolina with what looked at first like a serious injury.
The 33-year-old is a vital part of Philadelphia’s offensive lineman, and when he went down, many feared the worst, particularly since he has been through two Achilles injuries. Initially, there were fears of a third.
That looked like Jason Peters' right leg buckled. They're bringing out the cart. Peters has torn the Achilles tendon in that leg twice.

If Jason Peters popped his Achilles, and that looks possible here, it'd be the third time he's had that injury.

The first reports from the sideline, however, indicate that Peters has a back issue, not a leg issue.
#Eagles injury update: T Jason Peters (lower back) is going in for X-rays and is questionable to return to #PHIvsCAR.

It’s a relief that Peters didn’t blow out his Achilles again, but it remains to be seen how serious the back injury turns out to be.
