Jason Pierre-Paul has basically become a walking public service announcement for fireworks safety, and when you see the photo of his surgically-repaired hand you will probably vow to never light a fuse for the rest of your life.
Pierre-Paul met with the media on Friday for the first time since his 4th of July fireworks mishap, and he allowed Julio Cortez of The Associated Press to snap a photo of his hand:

Pierre-Paul would not say exactly how the fireworks accident happened.
“Someone will get the story,” he told reporters, per Greg Logan of Newsday. “It will come out later … It’s not about me any more. I’m here to play football.”
We have known for quite some time that Pierre-Paul lost the index finger on his right hand, but there have been varying reports about the extent of the damage. Unlike the photos that were released over a month ago, this shows that JPP injured several fingers in addition to having one amputated.
If you heard what Prince Amukamara said earlier this week, you knew the damage caused by the accident was pretty severe. Now the image might haunt you for a while.
