Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys knew there were risks involved when they selected Randy Gregory in the NFL Draft last season. Those concerns came to fruition when the defensive end was busted for a violation of the league’s drug policy.
Speaking from the NFL Scouting Combine on Saturday, the Cowboys owner called the Gregory situation “embarrassing for everybody.”
Jerry Jones disappointed in Randy Gregory, but was aware of situation they were facing when drafted him, "it's embarrassing for everybody."

It’s embarrassing for Gregory because he tried to sell NFL people on the idea that he would be clean in the pros but now he got busted, costing him four games next season because of a suspension. It’s also embarrassing for the Cowboys because they bought into Gregory and drafted him in the second round, only to see him suspended.
Gregory failed his drug test at the NFL Combine last season after testing positive for marijuana. If he couldn’t even put down the weed at the combine, nobody should be surprised that he couldn’t do it once he joined the pros too.
