After watching the San Francisco 49ers during their regular season opener, Jerry Rice believes the team could use a little extra receiving help.
Rice told TMZ Sports that he doesn’t think San Francisco receivers are getting enough separation at the line of scrimmage in the red zone, and he believes Dez Bryant could bring a little bit of that.
“I think he can help us with experience and knowledge about the game,” Rice said of Bryant.
Based on one of his tweets from Sunday, Bryant seems to agree with Rice’s assessment. Whether the 49ers do is a different matter, but the veteran receiver is out there, and the 49ers could do worse than giving him a call if they think they have a need for some extra receiving help.
