Jim Harbaugh leaves Chargers-Broncos game due to illness
Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh dealt with a medical issue on Sunday that forced him to leave the sideline.
Just before kickoff of his team’s game against the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colo., Harbaugh went into the blue medical tent and was examined by medical staff. He later emerged from the tent and was escorted to the locker room by doctors and trainers.

The Chargers announced that Harbaugh was questionable to return to the game due to an illness. Defensive coordinator Jesse Minter served as interim head coach while Harbaugh was gone.
Fortunately, the 60-year-old Harbaugh returned to the sideline a short while later. It is unclear what illness he was dealing with, but it was at least not serious enough to keep him from performing his duties for the entire game.
