Jim Schwartz reportedly set to interview with Browns this week

Jim Schwartz will be getting a look as a possible head coach.

Schwartz is set to interview with the Cleveland Browns for their head coaching job this week, both ESPN and NFL Media report.

Schwartz, 53, has been the Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive coordinator since 2016. He previously served as head coach of the Detroit Lions from 2009-2013, going 29-51 over five seasons. The team went 10-6 in his third year and lost in the wild card round of the playoffs. He had a losing record in his other four seasons. The Eagles’ defense was 15th in points and 10th in yards allowed this season.

The Browns have a long list of candidates they are running through. They had interest in Mike McCarthy, who signed with the Dallas Cowboys, and reportedly had interest in Urban Meyer. Eric Bieniemy, Brian Daboll, Josh McDaniels, Greg Roman, Robert Saleh and Kevin Stefanski are other candidates they reportedly have plans to interview.
