Jimmy Garoppolo reportedly needed pain shot to practice, may not start
If New England Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo ends up starting against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, it sounds like he will be playing through a lot of pain.
Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports that Garoppolo was extremely limited in practice this past week and needed an injection in his shoulder to be able to participate.
Jimmy Garoppolo needed a shot last week to practice. Was limited to about 100 throws per day. Typical game day is upward of 200.

Rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett is dealing with a thumb injury, otherwise he would likely be a lock to start given the status of Garoppolo.
Garoppolo suffered a shoulder injury after taking a big hit from a defender in Week 2 (video here), but you have to think he wants to make one more start with Tom Brady set to return next week. This may be Garoppolo’s last opportunity to get some playing time this season.
