Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam on Sunday denied a report saying the team will interview Doug Marrone first for their head coaching vacancy.
SI’s Peter King reported on NBC Sunday night that the Browns would interview Marrone first.
Just said on @SNFonNBC that the first interview for Browns, coming Tuesday will be former Bills coach Doug Marrone.

Haslam was asked about the report and said it was incorrect.

The Browns are transitioning after cleaning house. They fired head coach Mike Pettine and GM Ray Farmer after two years on the job.
Marrone is an assistant coach with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He coached the Buffalo Bills for two seasons, going 15-17 before being replaced by Rex Ryan.
