John Harbaugh is already drawing heavy interest one hour after being fired

The Baltimore Ravens fired head coach John Harbaugh on Tuesday after 18 seasons with the franchise, but it didn’t take long for his agent’s phone to ring.

No more than one hour after Harbaugh was fired by the Ravens, his agent had already received calls from seven NFL teams, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

In the first 45 minutes after John Harbaugh was fired this afternoon, his agent Bryan Harlan said he received calls from seven NFL teams expressing interest in his client.

After the Ravens fired Harbaugh, a total of seven NFL teams had head coach openings:

  • Arizona Cardinals
  • Atlanta Falcons
  • Baltimore Ravens
  • Cleveland Browns
  • Las Vegas Raiders
  • New York Giants
  • Tennessee Titans

And, per Schefter’s report, seven teams had reached out to Harbaugh’s agent, which means at least one team that has not yet fired its head coach.

Schefter also reported that Harbaugh was expected to “emerge as a favorite” for the Giants’ job, but there seems to be no shortage of suitors interested in interviewing Harbaugh.

Multiple teams with head coach openings now will readjust their boards, and are expected to pursue the newest head coaching free agent, John Harbaugh.

In 18 seasons as the Ravens’ head coach, Harbaugh compiled a 180-113 regular season record with a 13-11 postseason mark and a Super Bowl victory.

Now, he should be a top candidate for a flurry of NFL teams in what is already a busy coaching cycle.
