Former Las Vegas Raiders coach Jon Gruden is seeking massive damages from the NFL over his dismissal in 2021.

In a Feb. 4, filing, Gruden’s lawyers claim over $150 million in losses thanks to the NFL, via Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. The filing cites loss of his employment, interference with future employment opportunities, loss of contract value, loss of sponsorships, reputational damage, costs, expert fees, and attorney fees as factoring into that figure.

In addition to the huge financial figure, the filing lists NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and owners Mark Davis, Robert Kraft, and Jerry Jones as potential witnesses in the case. That does not necessarily mean they will be deposed.

Gruden is still suing the NFL alleging that the league was behind the leak of the offensive emails that cost him the Raiders job in 2021. He has scored several legal victories against the NFL so far, though the case has yet to get very far owing to a number of delays.

Gruden has not worked as an NFL coach since his dismissal despite his 117-112 lifetime record. He was recently linked to an assistant coaching job, but has denied that he ever received an offer.
