Report: Jordan Love pre-draft interviews have teams split on him

The most divisive quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft is shaping up to be Jordan Love.

The Utah State quarterback is still expected to be a first-round pick, but NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo believes that Love is likely to wind up going late in the round. Teams are split on Love, partially due to what they saw and heard in the pre-draft process.

Not only did Love fail to convince during his workouts, but teams came away split on him based on his pre-draft interviews, which have also failed to thoroughly impress scouts and executives.

Love’s 17 interceptions last season are worrisome compared to 20 touchdowns. Still, a lot of teams are checking him out, including one that tends to know what it’s doing in the scouting department. At the moment, though, Love is looking like a late first rounder who may be groomed to take over for a veteran starter in a year or two.
