Nelson visited the Oakland Raiders this week, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the team is expected to finalize a deal with him before he leaves town.

Nelson will turn 33 this offseason and is not as explosive as he once was, but the Raiders reportedly believe in him enough that they could cut one of their most productive players to make room for Nelson. The Packers signed tight end Jimmy Graham in free agency and Nelson was due to make $10 million in 2018, so they felt he had become expendable.
While he missed the entire 2015 season with a torn ACL, Nelson appeared in all but one game for Green Bay over the past two years. His production was down significantly last season, but that was mostly because Aaron Rodgers missed time with a broken collarbone.
