Joseph Randle arrested for battery, drug possession
Former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle has once again been arrested, this time on several serious charges.
TMZ reports that Randle was arrested in Kansas Sunday morning and charged with three counts of aggravated battery, one count of drug possession and one count of criminal damage. He is being held on $100,000 and details are not yet known.
Randle, who was cut by the Cowboys in November, has been arrested multiple times in the past year or so, the most recent of which took place at his ex-girlfriend’s home earlier this month. You can see a video from that incident here.
Randle’s release from the Cowboys came just before he was suspended four games by the NFL for a personal conduct violation, likely stemming from a marijuana arrest a year ago. Prior to that, Randle was busted in an incredibly embarrassing shoplifting incident at a department store.
More recently, Randle was arrested outside a casino for allegedly assaulting a security guard while intoxicated.
The Cowboys had concerns about Randle’s well-being before they cut ties with him, as there were reports that he had police check on his girlfriend when she was staying at his home in Texas. Police found nothing wrong, but it was clear Randle was rattled about something.
The 24-year-old has likely played his last snap in the NFL.
