Jospeh Randle has certainly become accustomed to being in jail, having been arrested five times in less than two years. Most recently, he was apprehended on charges of aggravated battery, drug possession and criminal damage last weekend.

Randle’s bail was set at $100,000. As of Monday, he was still in a Kansas jail. Nothing had changed by Wednesday as the former Cowboys running back was still behind bars because. That day in court, Randle asked if the judge if it could be lowered because he cannot afford the set amount.

“I don’t got no money for bond or nothing like that,” he told Judge Jeffrey Goering, via The Wichita Eagle. “I was wondering if I could get my bond lowered to $5,000, so I can get out and go work out. I’ve got plans to go to California as soon as possible.”

As The Eagle added, Randle’s request was denied because does has not hired a lawyer or filled out the required paperwork for a court-appointed one.

Plans to go to California or not, it might not be the worst idea for Randle to stay off the streets for while. It may be the safest thing for both him and others.
