Josh Allen to start for Bills in Week 2

Josh Allen

Josh Allen may not have won the starting quarterback competition with the Buffalo Bills in training camp and the preseason, but it didn’t take long for Nathan Peterman to give it away.

According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, Allen will get the start when the Bills host the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

That really isn’t all that shocking, as Peterman was downright abysmal in Buffalo’s Week 1 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The former fifth-round pick completed just 5-of-18 passes for 24 yards and threw two interceptions before being replaced by Allen in the third quarter. The Bills were trailing 40-0 at the time.

Bills coach Sean McDermott was careful not to embarrass Peterman after his poor performance, but there’s no way he can justify putting him under center again in Week 2.
