Josh Gordon announces return to Browns
The Cleveland Browns have Josh Gordon back in the fold.
The wide receiver announced in a statement that he has rejoined the team after leaving as part of his ongoing treatment plan.
Gordon states that he “took the time needed to ensure my overall mental and physical health” and that “in order for me to reach my full potential my primary focus must remain on my sobriety and mental well-being.”

Browns GM John Dorsey said the team will take it slowly in easing Gordon back into football activities after his time away.

Gordon missed the start of July’s training camp, stating that his absence was part of his treatment plan as he tries to remain sober. The Browns had said all along that they anticipated having him back, but never put a timetable on it. All told, things worked out to be a bit less than a month, and Gordon should get enough of a preseason to be fully ready to go for Week 1.
